That is why Fluidmaster has developed an IR urinal element that enables touchless flushing activation and is suitable for both mains (230 V) and battery (9 V) power supply. The system is designed for simple, fast, and flexible installation, with the flushing plate being the only additional element that needs to be selected.
As a touchless system, the element is ideal for public and high-traffic areas – schools, hospitals, sports facilities, shopping centres, and other sanitary spaces where hygiene is especially important.
One Element, Multiple Options
The Fluidmaster IR urinal element offers multiple installation options:
- Installation in drywall (lightweight partition) systems
- As a self-supporting element for pre-wall installation in dry construction
- Universal installation in solid walls.
The brackets (for the flushing plate, water connection, and urinal) are height adjustable, while the outlet elbow is rotatable. Adjustable support legs allow height adjustment from 0 to 200 mm, ensuring compatibility with almost any sanitary environment. The rough-in installation set is already included, so there is no need to source additional components – the system is ready for installation with minimal adjustments.
Flushing Plates
Six IR flushing plates are available for the Fluidmaster IR urinal element, divided by power supply type and material. The plates enable automatic user detection, adjustment of flushing time and sensor sensitivity, and protection in case of power failure.
230 V (mains power):
- RAY IR TECH P 230 V – white
- RAY IR TECH P 230 V – chrome gloss
- RAY IR TECH S 230 V – stainless steel
9 V (battery power):
- RAY IR TECH P 9 V – white
- RAY IR TECH P 9 V – plastic, chrome gloss
- RAY IR TECH S 9 V – stainless steel
RAY IR TECH P flushing plates are suitable for aesthetically refined sanitary spaces, while TECH S plates are more durable and ideal for high-traffic environments where there is a greater risk of damage or vandalism.
